Flying to Bariloche is a breeze through both Buenos Aires, Argentina or Santiago, Chile. From Buenos Aires you have the luxury of choosing from three carriers: Aerolineas Argentinas, LAN Argentina and LADE. Please note that if you are flying from Buenos Aires to Bariloche you will need at least an hour to travel from the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) to domestic Aeroparque Airport (AEP)!

From Santiago, Chile you can directly fly to Bariloche on Thursdays and Sundays through LanChile or LanExpress. If you would like to fly in on another day you can choose to fly to Osorno, Chile and then cross the Andes by bus, using a variety of bus companies. Ailola Latino provides a pick-up from the airport in Bariloche as a part of the program price!

By Bus

Comfortable buses make the 20-hour trip from Buenos Aires safe and easy. Movies, meals and bathrooms are provided and sleeper seat options are available for your trip. Daily trips to Bariloche are available through Via Bariloche, Andesmar, El Valle and TAC bus companies. From Santiago, Chile you must take the bus to Osorno, Chile and then transfer to another bus that will cross the Andes.

By Car

Students are welcome to rent a car and travel to Bariloche independently. Rental cars and gasoline can be costly, so it is recommended to plan accordingly. Traveling by car can be challenging, so driving to Bariloche is not recommended.

Transportation in Bariloche

Bariloche has a municipal bus system and routes do travel to the outer districts for touring of some of the natural attractions. Bus stops, as well as flagging buses en route will get you to your destination. Taxis are also available for local city travel for a reasonable price. Walking is a recommended way to see the city.
